Your thoughts on the future of football

The future of football should be seen as the past season gone, with new life injected into the smaller clubs with Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United all disappointing their fans.

There are teams who have been looking for a 40 point survival mark now looking at Leicester and looking further ahead. I had a Stoke supporter calling me saying that Leicester gives him hope for Stoke City in the future, if they can do it we can…so to speak!

But you have to have the right man in charge with the right players, and that is why Ranieri has said “I have to be careful who I bring in, for they need to have the same attitude as these lads. One bad egg can spoil the team spirit” and it can.

Football is at a new HIGH here in England and only a poor Euro by our national team can harm it, although players want to come here because it has become the richest League in the world.

As Neil Diamond sang “Money talks but it can’t dance and it can’t sing” and Claudio proved that because they sang and danced their way to the Championship.
